Today is my dad’s 57th birthday so I posted this picture of him on Facebook and wished him a happy day.
Any guesses on what craft we’re flying in in this picture?

Tri-Motor?

Looks like you’re flying a train car from the late 1800s.

Correct, EAA’s 1929 Ford to be specific. We took a ride at AirVenture 2010.

slight look of concern on his face, hands together, something not-watchlike on his wrist. in the thumbnail I had assumed a kidnapping or hijacking was occuring

I stood around on the tarmac for hours getting those shots. It might have been more fun in the plane. But I did take one of my favorite airplane pictures ever that day.

They would’ve been so lucky!

That is a great shot. Have you ever shared it with EAA?
The ride was only 10 minutes and $75, but it was totally worth it.

I have not. But it might be a good way to get some of my work out there.
$75 is a small price to pay for such an experience. I would do it in a heartbeat.

Is this your Dad?

I would encourage you to. They seem to recognize people's work often.
